Students then had a chance to continue working on their Great Question essays, which are due on Monday, September 16.

We then spent some time setting up our Great Questions essays on Google Docs, following the MLA format.

Today we started the class with a Reading Log, 1.1.4 (Questions). 

Then, for Anticipatory Bell Work Day 3 (1.1.3), we discussed "synecdoche and metonymy." 

Then we went over the outline for the following assignment:

We decided it's due on Monday, September 16, and that I will want to see a completed outline by the end of tomorrow's block (September 11).

Today we had a shorter block because the bells were a bit wonky. We started the class by getting a new Reading Log (Questions, 1.1). We then did Day 1 of an Anticipatory Bell Work sheet based on "Stormy Night."

Today, in Composition 11, we read the course outline and started reading the first chapter to the What the Bleep do we Know passage. I repeat, I do not endorse the Bleep book or its ideologies, but I do like to use the passage to start my year.

First Activity: We started filling out an MLA format response about "What makes a good question?" We submitted it.
