Today we started the class with Reading Log 1.2.2 (Questions).
Students then had a chance to continue working on their Great Question essays, which are due on Monday, September 16. ABSENT: TH Today, students received a new Reading Log (Questions 1.2.1).
We then spent some time setting up our Great Questions essays on Google Docs, following the MLA format. The essay is due on Monday, September 16. Today we started the class with a Reading Log, 1.1.4 (Questions). Then, for Anticipatory Bell Work Day 3 (1.1.3), we discussed "synecdoche and metonymy." Then we went over the outline for the following assignment: We decided it's due on Monday, September 16, and that I will want to see a completed outline by the end of tomorrow's block (September 11).
UPCOMING: Great Question Assignment due September 16 ABSENT: OS Today we did day 1.1.3 of our Questions Reading Log. We then spent the block working through the Bleep chapter with a Fluency Log.

We then finished the Chunk 1 of the first Bleep chapter, although we didn't get through Chunk 2 for the Fluency Log

Today we had a shorter block because the bells were a bit wonky. We started the class by getting a new Reading Log (Questions, 1.1). We then did Day 1 of an Anticipatory Bell Work sheet based on "Stormy Night."
We then started a Fluency Log for the Bleep chapter, but we didn't even get finished Chunk 1.
